Craig Kirchgessner enters his seventh season as head coach of the Hendrix Warriors men's tennis program in 2024-25.

PROGRAM ACCOLADES
  • Agustin Kalinowski was named the 2023 Southern Athletic Association Men's Tennis Player of the Year, and has been named All-SAA first team in all three years of his career
  • On April 14, 2024, the Warriors defeated Millsaps 7-2 for the program's first-ever win in the Southern Athletic Association since joining the conference in 2012

BEFORE HENDRIX

Kirchgessner came to Conway via Centre College, where he was the assistant men's and women's coach for the Colonels for three seasons.

Before his tenure at Centre, Kirchgessner was the head tennis professional at Duke University for two years. As head professional, Kirchgessner's duties included: developed tennis clinics and events, budget development, promotion and marketing, member involvement, and staff professional development. 

Prior to Duke, Kirchgessner worked as a tennis professional at Ocean Reef Resort out of Key Large, Florida, one of the world's largest resorts. Kirchgessner also served time as a head tennis professional at Basin Harbor in Vermont.

Kirchgessner, a native of Floyd Knobs, Indiana, went on to receive his A.A. in Liberal Studies from Florida College in May 2009 and also received his B.S. in Secondary Education (Social Studies) from Western Kentucky University in December 2012. While at Western Kentucky, Kirchgessner was also a standout tennis player, where he played number one singles and doubles for the Hilltoppers.
