The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Madison Martin has been named the SAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
For the week, Martin averaged a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double. She made 42.9 percent of her attempts while leading Hendrix to a 2-1 start.
Against Ozarks, Martin had a huge second half from in the win. She put up a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Then in the SAA vs. SCAC Challenge, Martin provided a spark contributing 14 points in the loss to Austin.
Finally, against Centenary, Martin was the Warriors' leading point-getter, as her 14 points led the team. She also led the team with 12 rebounds.
