CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – The Hendrix College women's tennis lost their 2012-13 season opener 6-3 at the University of the Ozarks on Wednesday afternoon.

Saranya Prathibha won both her matches, teaming with senior
Arden Brazzeal in number one doubles to defeat Breanna Herrington and Elly Eibes 8-4 and topping Eibes 6-3, 6-1 at number two singles. Sophomore
Hannah Smashey picked up Hendrix' other point with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Mollie Wilkinson at number four singles.
Brazzeal lost in a tiebreaker to Whitney Lewis in the top singles draw, falling 1-6, 6-3, 10-4. Smashey and freshman
Madison Schallhorn were defeated by the Lady Eagles' number two doubles tandem of Chelsea Glasscock and Tara Richards 8-5.
Hendrix will play their final fall match on Oct. 2 at Harding University in Searcy, Ark.
