CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's team lost 8-1 to Oglethorpe University in Southern Athletic Association action on Saturday.

The visiting Lady Petrels (3-14, 1-5) swept through doubles over the Warriors (2-9, 0-6). Junior Caroline Kelley and sophomore Hannah Smashey lost 8-5 to Hailey Bowers and Clara Reinheimer at number two doubles.

Hendrix picked up their only point in number six singles, where freshman Brenda Quitnero defeated Charlsie Johnson with a tiebreaker 1-6, 6-1, 1-0 (12-10). Number one singles also came down to a tiebreaker where OU's Katherine Walker defeated senior Arden Brazzeal 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8).

Hendrix will host their final conference match of the season against Berry on Sunday.
