CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College volleyball won their program-record 21st match in dramatic fashion with a 21-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-13 come-from-behind victory at home against Millsaps College on Sunday afternoon.
With the win, the Warriors, under fourth-year head coach
Ryan Meek, improve to 21-4 overall, besting last year's team that set the wins record with a 20-12 mark. Hendrix also improves to 8-2 in Southern Athletic Association play and are in a three-way tie along with Berry and Birmingham-Southern.
The visiting Majors (16-3, 7-3) took the first two sets with little trouble and led the third 16-9. The Warriors stormed back and outscored the visitors 16-6 the rest of the way and won 25-22. Millsaps once again went up 12-5 in the fourth set before evenutally caught up at 14-14. The teams tied the fourth frame seven times before the Warriors took the lead for good at 23-22 on a

Lauren Petrisin and Dyslin recorded the final two kills of the set, forcing the decisive frame.
Hendrix led 8-3 in the fifth with Millsaps mounting a comeback to eventually tie it at 12-12. After a few miscues, freshman outside
Bradi Ryan hammered the final kill of the game to give the Orange & Black a 15-13 win.
As a team, the Warriors hit .194 with 71 kills, three aces, 118 digs and eight blocks. The Majors hit .123 with 48 kills, 12 aces, 95 digs and seven blocks.

Felicia Beeman led the defense with a career-high 41 digs, the most for a Warrior since Jessica Varnell came up with 42 against Wiley in 2007. Also on defense, senior
Ella Concavage-Nasar registered a season-best 17 digs. Sophomore outside hitter
MC Rogers thundered 23 kills and had 18 digs and three blocks. Dyslin recorded her first double-double with 13 kills and 13 digs and Ryan ended with 14 kills. Petrisin added 10 kills as well. Sophomore setter
Holyn Duyck had a career-high 40 assists to go with eight digs and
Allison Gaia had 25 assists and 11 digs.
Caroline McKey led Millsaps with 18 kills and 20 digs. Ashley Zamjahn also recorded 20 digs.
Hendrix will travel to Berry College for a tilt between first-place teams on Friday night.
