CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's basketball team tied the school record with 14 three-pointers made as they defeated MacMurray College 81-68 in the 2014-15 season opener on the first day of the Warrior Classic in Grove Gymnasium Saturday night.
The Warriors (1-0) shot 46.7 percent (14-of-30) from behind the arc, led by junior guard's
Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler's seven outside shots, one off the school record for an individual. Kriesel-Bigler was 7-of-11 from three range and finished with 25 points, seven assists, six rebounds, two steals and a career-high three blocks.

Estrella Flores hit a trio of threes as well, en route to tying her career best of 15 points. Senior guard
Kati Broberg also made three bombs for nine points. Sophomore forward
Anna King added six points and tied her career high with 13 rebounds. Freshman
Breann Forbes chipped in six points and sophomore
Peyton Hurst had five points and career highs of seven boards and three blocks. Junior forward
Katy Gallien recorded five points, six rebounds and seven assists.
For the game, Hendrix shot 35.3 percent (24-of-68) from the field and 76 percent (19-of-25) from the free throw line. The Warriors only committed 10 turnovers, compared to 22 for the Highlanders (0-1).
MacMurray shot 36.5 percent (23-of-63) from the field, 38.9 percent (7-of-18) from outside and 71.4 percent (15-of-21) from the line.
Hendrix led the entire game and had a 53-41 lead at halftime.
Kaydee Carmody paced MC with 20 points to go with seven rebounds. Cydney Saxer had 11 points and Breezy Walton came up with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Megan Duisen had seven points, 12 rebounds and four blocks.
Hendrix will face Rust College on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the final game of the Warrior Classic.
