DANVILLE, Ky. - The Hendrix College field hockey defeated Transylvania University 3-0 in the first round of the Southern Athletic Association Tournament Friday evening.

The Warriors (4-14) will take on top seed Centre College in the semi-finals at 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT on Saturday.

Senior midfielder Lotte Kraaijenbrink scored just three minutes into the game on an assist from sophomore forward Raychl Reger to give Hendrix the early lead. Reger connected with Kraaijenbrink again in the 53rd minute to go up 2-0. Five minutes later Kraaijenbrink assisted freshman Bailee Wallace's score for the 3-0 win.

The Warriors dominated possession, outshooting the Pioneers (1-15) 28-8 overall and 19-3 on goal.

Sophomore keeper Gabryele Pochron had three saves for her second shutout of the season. TU's Sara Ashbacher registered 16 saves.
