CONWAY, Ark. - In the first intercollegiate women's lacrosse game to be played in the state of Arkansas, Hendrix College loss to Berry College 19-6 at Warrior Field on Saturday.
With the loss, the Warriors fall to 2-3 and 1-1 in Southern Athletic Association play, while the Vikings improve to 3-0 and 2-0.
Through the first 14 minutes of the game, Berry had a 4-3 lead before they scored eight straight to end the half. They would score the first three of the second period to take a commanding 15-3 lead.
The Vikings outshot the Warriors 29-19 overall and 26-14 on goal. Berry also held a 19-15 ground ball edge, while Hendrix had a 14-13 lead in draw controls. The Orange & Black committed more turnovers (19-15) and fouls (14-6).

Raychl Reger led Hendrix with four goals and had three draw controls. Freshman midfielder
Kate Davis scored once and had a game-high five draw controls. Junior

Amibeth Marks led the Warriors with three ground balls and
Emily Rankin and
Meghan Ayers each caused two turnovers. Freshman
Rebecca Alexander recorded seven saves in goal.
Angelica Miller recorded three goals and four assists for the Vikings. Kristan Dziurzynski had five goals, an assist and four draw controls and Claire Rosenberg scored four times with an assist. Rachel Aiken led Berry with six ground balls and four caused turnovers. Taylor Martin stopped eight shots in goal.
Hendrix will travel to Sewanee - The University of the South for another SAA match-up on Friday night.
