SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Hendrix College women's lacrosse team lost to Carthage College 22-2 in Tennessee on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Reds (1-0) outshot the Warriors 28-11 and 25-6 on goal. Carthage had an edge in ground balls (18-14), draw controls (14-13) and turnovers (16-25).

Freshman midfielder Kate Davis scored both goals on free position shots for the Warriors. She also had five draw controls. Junior midfielder Landri Wenzel took three draw controls and freshman midfielder Amibeth Marks caused three turnovers.

Lauren Chatham led the Lady Reds with five goals, two assists and four draw controls. Madison Griffin scored three times, as did Elizabeth Wittenborg.

Hendrix will return to action on Sunday, Mar. 9 when they face Saint Mary's of Indiana in Memphis, Tenn.
