CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's lacrosse team lost 18-2 to Centre College in Southern Athletic Association play at Warrior Field on Saturday.
The visiting Colonels (10-1, 4-0) outshot the Warriors (4-7, 1-4 SAA) 35-14 and 26-13 on goal. Centre also had a 34-22 ground ball advantage and were 13-of-14 on clears, while Hendrix went 6-of-21. The Orange & Black also committed more fouls (21-13) and turnovers (24-19).
The Colonels jumped out to a 6-2 lead, then ended the first half with three more goals. They scored nine more in the second period.

Meg Hawthorne led Centre with four goals and an assist and Audrey Powers added five assists. Jacqueline Anderson recorded four goals, seven ground balls and four caused turnovers and Emily Madden scored four times with four draws. Keeper Allison Eisner regestered 11 saves.
Hendrix will return to action next Saturday when they host Birmingham-Southern College.
