Hendrix Falls to Berry on the Road

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Hendrix College women's tennis team lost to Berry College 8-1 on the road in Southern Athletic Association play on Saturday morning.

The Warriors (3-10, 0-6) only point off the Vikings (14-1, 4-1), the 12th ranked team in the Atlantic South region, came at number one doubles. Freshman tandem Pratheepa Ravikumar and Lauren Mahaney downed Emmea O'Reilly and Caitlin Smith 9-8 (7-5). Mary Cerny and Lauren Bykert defeated senior Saranya Prathibha and junior Hannah Smashey 8-3 in number two doubles.

In number one singles, O'Reilly beat Ravikumar 6-3, 6-4

Hendrix will wrap up the regular season on Sunday at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta.
