CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's tennis team lost to #16 Sewanee - The University of the South in Southern Athletic Association action on Saturday morning.
The nationally-ranked Tigers improve to 13-2 overall and 4-0 in SAA play, while the Warriors fall to 3-8 and 0-4.
At number one doubles, Lindsey Liles and Bronte Goodhue defeated freshman pair
Pratheepa Ravikumar and
Lauren Mahaney 8-2. In the third spot, Kate Johnston and Elske Parker topped sophomores
Madison Schallhorn and
Kaci Dickey 8-3.
In number one singles, freshman
Pratheepa Ravikumar lost to Bronte Goodhue, the #4 player in the South Atlantic region, 6-1, 6-1. Senior
Saranya Prathibha lost 6-1, 6-1 to Mary Taylor Tepper in the fourth singles spot.
Hendrix will play their final home match of the season on Sunday when they host Centre College at 9 a.m.
