CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's tennis team lost their final home match of the season, falling to Southern Athletic Association rival Centre College 8-1 on Sunday.
The Warriors (3-9, 0-5) picked up their only point in number two doubles, where senior
Saranya Prathibha and junior Hannah Samshey defeated Colonels' (4-8, 2-3) tandem Abby Tudor and Kate Tomey 8-4. In number one doubles, freshmen
Pratheepa Ravikumar and
Lauren Mahaney fell to Kathryn Hays and Molly McElvogue 9-7.
McElvogue defeated Mahaney 6-1, 6-3 in number three singles and Katie Howard topped Prathibha 6-2, 6-4 in the fifth spot.
Hendrix will face Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga. on Saturday.
