JACKSON, Miss. - The Hendrix College volleyball team was swept by Millsaps College 25-17, 25-21, 25-20 at the Hangar Dome in Southern Athletic Association competition on Sunday afternoon.
The Warriors (14-4, 3-2) hit a season-low .062 with only 32 kills, three aces, 63 digs and four blocks. The Majors (13-1, 4-1) hit .176 with 36 kills, two aces, 64 digs and four blocks.
MC Rogers connected on nine kills and had 16 digs digs for Hendrix. Sophomore middle blocker
Samantha Stockdale hit .625 with five kills and no errors on eight attempts and led the Orange & Black at the net with three blocks. Junior libero
Felicia Beeman had 16 digs. Sophomore setter
Allison Gaia assisted 12 kills and sophomore
Holyn Duyck recorded 10 assists.
Caroline McKey led Millsaps with nine kills and had 11 digs. Lexus Andres added seven kills and led the defense with 14 digs. Mary Wilson recorded 12 assists.
Hendrix will return to action on Friday when they host Oglethorpe University and Rust College at Grove Gymnasium.
