CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's basketball team received career-performances from sophomore guard
Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler and sophomore forward
Anna King to help the Warriors to a 70-64 victory over Sewanee - The University of the South in Southern Athletic Association play Friday night.
Kriesel-Bigler dished out 11 assists to go with 23 points. King had a career-high 18 rebounds with 13 points, three assists, two blocks and a steal. Freshman center
Sara Dyslin was also a huge presence down the stretch, scoring 12 of her 14 in the second half and seven points in the final 3:40.
After heading into halftime tied at 33-33, the Warriors (8-8, 3-2) would expand their lead to 55-44 with 8:48 remaining. After a three-minute scoring drought for both teams, the Tigers (10-5, 2-3) went on an 18-8 run to make the score 63-62 with 1:05 left. Dyslin converted on a three-point play and Kriesel-Bigler went 4-for-4 at the free throw line to seal the win.
Hendrix Notes- Hendrix has won six of their last seven games dating back to Dec. 30.
- The Warriors have won three straight SAA contests and move into a third place tie with Rhodes, who Hendrix split the season series with.
- Hendrix tied their season-high with 23 free throws made out of 31 attempts.
- The Warriors won despite having their worst shooting performance of the year, going 21-of-69 from the field (30.4 percent).
- The Orange & Black outrebounded the Tigers 52-36, their biggest margin in a conference game this (+16). They pulled down 21 boards on the offensive end.
- Kriesel-Bigler's 11 assists was the fourth highest total in school history. It was the third time she has reached double-digit assists in her career.
- King recorded her eighth double-double of the season and 11th of her career.

Breann Forbes came off the bench for four points, six boards, one assist, one steal and one block.
- Dyslin also had a season-best three steals and came up with five offensive rebounds.
- Hendrix committed just nine turnovers, tying their season-low.
Sewanee Notes- The Tigers fall to 2-3 in SAA play and are tied for fifth with Centre.
- Sewanee shot 41 percent (25-of-61) from the field and 84.6 percent (11-of-13) from the free throw line, but only went 3-of-12 from three-point range.
- Freshman point guard led the Tigers with a season-high 28 points on 12-of-23 shooting.
- Guard Jamie Chauvin added 15 points.
- Forward Kayla Sewell didn't score but recorded nine rebounds, six assists and seven blocks.
- Forward Casey Hassett, the reigning SAA Player of the Week was limited to just five points and five rebounds
Up Next- Hendrix will host Centre at Grove Gymnasium on Sunday at 12 p.m. The Colonels lost to Rhodes 63-60 on Friday.
