Warriors' Winning Streak Snapped at Millsaps

JACKSON, Miss. - The Hendrix College women's basketball team saw their four-game winning streak come to an end on Friday night as they fell 62-50 to Southern Athletic Association foe Millsaps College. 

The Warriors jumped out to an early advantage, leading the Majors 17-11 with 9:22 remaining in the first half. The home team responded by regaining the lead before the half. Millsaps finished the frame on an 18-5 run to take a 29-22 edge into the locker room at the halftime break.

In the second half, Hendrix came battling back, cutting the lead to 35-33 five minutes in, but would never regain the lead. Millsaps closed out the game by allowing the Orange and Black just 17 points over the last 14 minutes of play, as the Majors pulled away to the 62-50 win.

The Majors maintain their undefeated SAA record, moving to 7-0 in conference play and improving to 15-3 on the year. Hendrix falls to 9-9 on the season, with a 4-3 mark in conference play.

Hendrix Notes
- Anna King scored a game-high 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting, including her third three-point field goal of the season.
- Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler was held to just nine points after averaging 21.0 points per game in her last two outings.
- Estrella Flores scored eight points off the bench, including a pair of three-pointers.
- Hendrix shots 35.6% from the floor, including a 17.6% shooting performance from beyond the arc.
- The Warriors attempted only seven free throws in the game, their lowest total in conference play this season. 

Millsaps Notes
- Kala Freeman scored 19 points for the Majors, while Velvet Johnson scored 18 points.
- Miah Brooks was one point shy of a double-double, scoring nine and grabbing 10 boards.
- Millsaps went 24-for-52 from the floor, shooting 46.2% on the evening.

- The Warriors will return to action on Sunday when they travel to Birmingham to take on BSC.
