BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Hendrix College volleyball team remained perfect in Southern Athletic Association play with a 25-23, 25-19, 17-25, 22-25, 15-12 victory at Birmingham-Southern College Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors (14-6, 8-0) set a season-highs with 63 kills, 225 attacks and 125 digs. They also hit .160 with eight aces and nine blocks. The Panthers (15-3, 6-2), who remain in second in the SAA, hit .159 with 62 kills, five aces, 119 digs and 10 blocks.
Hendrix won the first two sets, but BSC rebounded to take the next two, forcing a fifth set. In the deciding frame, the Panthers jumped out to an 8-5 lead. The Warriors answered with a 6-0 run to go up 11-8. Tied at 11-11, Hendrix won four of the net five points, three of which came on kills by sophomore right side
Lauren Petrisin.
Hendrix Notes- Four Warriors recorded double-doubles and six players reached double digits in digs.
- Petrisin led the way with a season-high 20 kills and hit .286.
- Sophomore middle blocker
Sara Dyslin recorded a career-best 18 kills with 11 digs and four blocks. She also hit .385.
- Junior outside hitter
MC Rogers had 16 kills and 12 digs for her eight double-double of the season.
- Sophomore
Bradi Ryan added eight kills and four blocks, two of which were solo.
- Junior setter
Allison Gaia posted a season-best 30 assists and a career-high 16 digs.
- Freshman setter
Amber Melcher also came up with a double-double with 25 assists and 18 digs, both season highs.
- Senior libero
Felicia Beeman led all players with 34 digs. It was the fourth 30+ dig performance of her career.

Jill Sikes came up with a season-high 17 digs.
Birmingham-Southern Notes- Jeneva Salter recorded 20 kills.
- Marjorie Ward added 17 kills and 21 digs.
- Laura Van Peursem had seven blocks.
- Katie McCormack recorded 51 assists and 14 digs.
- Lauren Bedford had 31 digs and Rylee Segrest added 23.
Up NextHendrix will travel to Jackson, Miss. for another conference match at Millsaps College Sunday at noon.
