SALEM, Va. - The Hendrix College field hockey lost 3-0 to Bridgewater College in the first game of the Roanoke Invitational Thursday night.
The Eagles (5-7) had goal in the 27th minute on a penalty stroke by Katherine Ellis.Tessa Tierson scored in the 57th minute on a rebound and Allison Kirk added the final goal with an assist from Shannon Stosser.
The Eagles outshot the Warriors (2-9) 35-3 overall and 22-2 on goal. Bridgewater also had a 22-3 advantage in penalty corners.
Hendrix Notes- Junior
Gabryele Pochron recorded 19 saves in goal. She is now 45 saves away from cracking the all-time NCAA Divsion III career leaders.
