CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's soccer team lost a 2-1 decision to Southern Athletic Association leader Berry College at Warrior Field Friday evening.
The Vikings (9-2-1, 4-0) drew first blood on a Tessa Piety goal in the 11th minute. The Warriors (8-6-1, 1-4) tied the game in the 24th minute on a penalty kick from senior forward
Samantha Lallas.
Berry scored the game-winner in the 56th minute when Lindsey Danford assisted Maggie Midkiff's goal.
For the game, the Vikings outshot the Orange & Black 21-7 overall and 11-4 on goal. Berry took seven corner kicks, compared to five for Hendrix.
Hendrix Notes- Lallas' goal was the 12th of the season and 43rd of her career.
