CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's soccer team blanked Oglethorpe University 2-0 in Southern Athletic Association action at Warrior Field Sunday afternoon.
The win improves the Warriors' record to 9-6-1 overall and 2-4 in league play. They are currently tied with Birmingham-Southern for fifth place and the two teams will play Saturday in Conway for the fifth seed in the SAA Championship Tournament.
The Stormy Petrels fall to 2-10 on the year and 0-6 in the SAA.
Junior midfielder
Sydney Fobare recorded her first goal of the season in the 35th minute on a cross from the right side that hit the far post and went into the goal. Hendrix scored again in the 53rd minute on a penalty kick by senior forward
Samantha Lallas.
Hendrix outshot OU 19-5 overall and 10-3 on goal. The Warriors held a 4-0 corner kick advantage.
Hendrix Notes- The win was the seventh shutout of the year for Hendrix and sophomore keeper
Jordan Rausch, who had three saves.

Caroline Hochstein limited the Petrels to just five shots.
- Lallas' goal was the 13th of the season for the Northbrook, Ill. native.
- Fobare now has four goals in her career.
Oglethorpe Notes- Claire Stauber took three shots, two on goal.
- Keeper Sarah Craig recorded eight saves in 84 minutes in goal.
