DANVILLE, Ky. - The Hendrix College volleyball team split a pair of matches in Danville, Ky. Sunday. The Warriors lost their final regular season Southern Athletic Association contest to host Centre College 25-17, 21-25, 27-25, 25-21, but rebound to defeat Berea College 25-10, 25-15, 25-16 in non-conference play.
Even with the loss, the Warriors (20-8) finish the conference schedule 12-2 and the outright champions of the SAA. Hendrix will host the SAA Championship Tournament Nov. 6-8.
Against the Colonels (12-13, 7-7), the Warriors hit .076 with 46 kills, six aces, 69 digs and 12 blocks. Centre hit .099 with 44 kills, one ace, 70 digs and 13 blocks.
Against the Mountaineers (15-11), the Orange & Black hit .321 with 40 kills, nine aces and 44 digs. Berea hit .026 with 16 kills, three acces, 27 digs and four blocks.
Hendrix Notes vs. Centre- Freshman outside hitter
Brianna Kelly recorded her second double-double of the year with a season-best 19 kills to go with 10 digs and three blocks.
- Sophomore right side
Lauren Petrisin connected on nine kills and four blocks and came up with seven digs.
- Sophomore middle blocker
Sara Dyslin recorded six kills and six blocks.
- Junior
Allison Gaia had 29 assists and 15 digs for her eighth double-double of the season.

Felicia Beeman added 12.
Centre Notes- Beth Cecil recorded 16 kills and 15 digs.
- Hailey Foote had 10 kills and seven blocks.
- Elizabeth Janszen had 37 assists and nine digs.
- Erin McGrath recorded 18 digs and Morgan Babey had 15.
- Jasmine Cline-Bailey also had seven blocks.
Hendrix Notes vs. Berea- Sophomore outside hitter
Bradi Ryan hit a career-best .516 on 18 kills.
- Middle blockers
Victoria Amadi and
Hannah Tackett each posted five kills.
- Freshman setter
Amber Melcher had a season-best 28 assists and five kills to go with seven digs.
- Tackett also served up three aces.
- Beeman led the back row with 15 digs.
- Junior
Katie Beard added nine digs.
Berea Notes- Kyra Robinson led the Mountaineers with five kills and hit .417.
- Megan Keller recorded seven assists.
- Bailie Parker had seven digs.
Up NextHendrix will wrap up the regular season with matches against East Texas Baptist and UT Tyler in Tyler, Texas on Saturday.
