ATLANTA - The Hendrix College volleyball team competed the first round of Southern Athletic Association play undefeated after sweeping Oglethorpe University on the road Sunday.
With the 25-19, 26-24, 25-15 win, the Warriors move to 13-6 overall and 7-0 in conference play. The Stormy Petrels fall to 4-14 and 0-7.
Hendrix easily took set one 25-19, but set two saw 12 ties and seven lead changes. Tied at 22-22, OU had set point after a pair of Warrior errors. The Orange & Black came back to tie it 24-24 then won the frame on kills by sophomore right side

The Warriors had their best offensive performance in the third set, hitting .345 with 15 kills.
For the match, Hendrix hit .234 with 42 kills, four aces, 45 digs and four blocks. Oglethorpe hit .034 with 21 kills, five aces, 28 digs and four blocks.
Hendrix Notes- Petrisin led the Warriors with a season-high 15 kills and hit .385.
