DANVILLE, Ky. - The Hendrix College field hockey team lost their regular season finale 6-0 at Centre College Sunday morning.
With a 3-13 overall record and 2-6 mark in the Southern Athletic Association, the Warriors will be the fourth seed in next weekend's SAA Tournament in Memphis, Tenn. and will face #5 Transylvania on Friday.
Centre improved to 9-5 overall and 7-1 in league play. The captured a share of the SAA regular season title, but will be the #2 seed.
Julie Gates scored four times for the Colonels - twice in each half. Nicole DeHerde and Cole Jordan recorded Centre's other goals.
Junior keeper
Gabryele Pochron recorded 25 saves for the second consecutive day, tying for the sixth most in school history. She now has 775 for her career and moves into a tie for 20th place in the NCAA Division III career saves list.
Centre outshot Hendrix 40-4 overall and 31-1 on goal. The Colonels held a 14-5 advantage in penalty corners.
