MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - For the second straight year, the Hendrix College volleyball team advanced to second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament with a 25-22, 25-20, 25-12 victory over Covenant College Thursday afternoon.
With the win, the Warriors (26-8) will face the winner between host Berry College and Thomas More College on Friday at 6 p.m. CT.
The Warriors struggled offensively in the first set, hitting just .125 with 14 kills, but the Lady Scots (19-13) had only eight kills and hit .027. Hendrix cranked up their offense in the second set, hitting .333 on 17 kills, then hit .312 with 14 kills in an easy third set victory.
For the match, the Orange & Black hit .244 with 45 kills, six aces, 60 digs and seven blocks. Covenant hit .0072 with 26 kills, no aces, 49 digs and five blocks.

Brianna Kelly paced the Warrior offense with 11 kills.

MC Rogers recorded her 12th double-double of the season with 10 kills and 14 digs.

Lauren Petrisin added nine kills and hit .318.

Sara Dyslin had five kills and four blocks.

Holyn Duyck had 15.

Felicia Beeman also came up with 14 digs.
Covenant Notes- Chelsea VanDyk led the Lady Scots with eight kills.
- Ginny Moore had seven kills and 11 digs.
- Morgan Opgenorth came up with seven kills and four blocks.
