CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College volleyball team won their second consecutive Southern Athletic Association Tournament title by defeating Birmingham-Southern College 25-23, 19-25, 25-20, 25-23 in the finals at Grove Gymnasium Sunday afternoon.
With the win, the Warriors (25-8), also back-to-back conference regular season champions, qualify for the NCAA Division III Tournament. They will find out where they will go during the
NCAA Selection Show Monday at 10 a.m.
The Warriors led the Panthers (24-5) led the majority of the first set and hit .406 with 14 kills. BSC hit .324 on 17 kills, but made four more errors.
BSC controlled the second and Hendrix took the third with little trouble. The fourth frame saw 12 ties and five lead changes. With the final set tied 23-23, Warrior middle blocker and tournament MVP

Natalie Masten blocked the final point of the match to give Hendrix the title.
For the match, the Warriors hit .213 with 52 kills, eight aces, 77 digs and 12.5 blocks. The Panthers hit .209 with 54 kills, nine aces, 82 digs and 8.5 blocks.

Felicia Beeman were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Hendrix Notes- Rogers recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 12 kills and 11 digs to go with four blocks.

Brianna Kelly had eight.

Samantha Stockdale had five kills and tied her season best with five blocks.

Holyn Duyck registered 22 assists, three aces and seven digs.
Allison Gaia had 21 assists and nine digs.

Birmingham-Southern Notes- All-Tournament Team selection Jeneva Salter recorded 20 kills.
- Setter Katie McCormack was also named to the All-Tourney Team and had 48 assists and seven digs.
- Caroline Hyde added 10 kills.
- Marjorie Ward had nine kills and 14 digs.
- Laura Van Peursem came up with nine kills and four blocks.
- Lauren Bedford had three aces and 22 digs.
