CONWAY, Ark. - Freshman center
Sara Dyslin hit a turn-around layup as time expired to give Hendrix College a 76-75 victory over first-place Berry College in Southern Athletic Association women's basketball action Friday night at home.
The Warriors (11-11, 6-5) had a 72-67 lead with 2:28 to play, but the visiting Vikings (16-6, 8-3) hit a pair of free throws by Emma Cook and got back-to-back baskets from Chanlir Segarra to take a 73-72 lead with 41 seconds on the clock. With 11 seconds left, Dyslin hit a pair of free throws to give the Warriors the lead. Segarra took the ball down the floor and hit a lay-up with five seconds remaining to put Berry back on top.
Junior point guard
Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler drove the floor and found Dyslin, who spun around her defender and let the winning basket off just before time expired. Dyslin finished with a career-high 26 points to go with 14 rebounds and three blocks.
The game was back-and-forth the entire 40 minutes, with eight ties and eight lead changes. Berry led 43-40 at half.
The win, puts Hendrix in a tie for third place with Rhodes College. Berry was tied with Millsaps for first, but dropped to second with the loss.
The Warriors face Oglethorpe University, the fifth-place team, at 1 p.m. on Sunday. They will wrap up the regular season next weekend with first-place Millsaps and Birmingham-Southern, who is tied for seventh. The first place team hosts the 2015 SAA Tournament.
Hendrix Notes- The Warriors shot 50.8 percent (32-of-63) from the field, their best performance in league game this season. They were also 4-of-12 from three-point range and 8-of-12 at the line.
- Dyslin was 10-of-15 from the floor and 6-of-7 from the line en route to her 26 points. It was her eighth double-double of the season.
- Sophomore forward
Anna King finished with 17 points and 12 boards, for her 12th double-double of the season. Friday's game was the sixth time both Dyslin and King recorded double-doubles in the same contest.
- Kriesel-Bigler recorded 12 points, eight assists and two steals. She also moved into fourth on Hendrix' single-season assists list with 126. She trails Caroline West's record of 154 set during the 1995-96 season.
- Senior guard Kati Brobert chipped in 10 points for her sixth double-digit scoring effort of the year.

Breann Forbes added eight points off the bench. Junior forward
Katy Gallien finishes with two points, four boards, four assists, a block and a steal.
Berry Notes- Senior guard Chanlir Segarra led all scorers with 31 points to go with eight assists and seven rebounds. The leading scorer in the SAA shot 14-of-26 from the field.
- Center Emma Cook and guard Zarriah Pierce each contributed 17 points.
- The Vikings shot 47.7 percent (31-of-65) from the field, 4-of-14 from outside and 9-of-15 at the free throw line.
- Berry led in rebounding 37-35.
