DANVILLE, Ky. - The Hendrix College men's basketball team suffered a 70-41 loss to Centre College in Southern Athletic Association at Alumni Gymnasium Sunday afternoon.
The third-place Colonels (16-4, 7-3) led for most of the game, including 31-16 at half. The Warriors (6-15, 1-9) had their worst shooting performance of the year, hitting just 26.0 percent of their shots (13-of-50) from the floor and went 4-of-16 from three-point range. Hendrix was also 11-of-15 at the free throw line.
Centre shot 43.1 percent (22-of-51) from the field, 7-of-23 from outside and 19-of-21 at the line. The Colonels also held a 43-25 rebound advantage.
Hendrix Notes- Sophomore point guard
Gabe Gumm led the Warriors with 10 points, his fourth double-digit performance of the year.
- Sophomore guard
Bryce Parker came off the bench for five points, two assists and two steals, a career-high.
- Freshman forward
Sean Criswell recorded five points, a season best, and three rebounds in six minutes off the bench.
- Sophomore center
Gearen Littlefield also chipped in five points off the bench.
- 25 of the Warriors' points came off the bench.
Centre Notes- Forward Tyler Wesley paced the Colonels with 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting, 13 boards and three blocks.
- Guard Matt Gump dished out five assists.
- Forward Josh Karsner had eight points and three steals.
