ATLANTA, Ga. - Junior starter
Daniel Imbro struck out 11 batters in seven innings to pilot the Hendrix College baseball team to a 4-2 victory over DePauw University in Atlanta on Monday night.
Imbro (2-3) allowed just six hits, two runs and no walks en route to his second win of the year for the Warriors (10-9). His 11 strikeouts tied his career-high that he set earlier this season against Hardin-Simmons. Senior left-handed reliever
Cannon Schrank struck out one in a perfect eighth innings and sophomore closer
Harley Faye also fanned a batter in a perfect ninth for his third save of the season.
Wyatt Spector (0-2) lasted six innings, giving up six hits, four runs, three walks and three strikeouts in the loss for the Tigers (3-8). Eric Steele fanned four batters in two scoreless innings.
Hendrix opened the scoring with three runs in three hits in the third. Sophomore third baseman
Spencer Summers singled, followed by a walk issued to freshman left fielder Chance Schillhab. Sophomore second baseman
James Martin reached on a ground ball that put Schillhab out at second and moved Summers to third. Senior catcher
Seth Mobley followed with an infield hit, plating Summers. After a walk to

Drew Judson knocked in Martin and Mobley with a base hit to right field.
DePauw answered in the third with a two-run single by designated hitter Mike Hammel.
Martin led the fourth off by being plunked and was bunted to second by Mobley. Ritz followed with a single, scoring Martin to give Hendrix the 4-2 advantage.
Hendrix Notes
- Hendrix moves to 5-1 all-time vs. DePauw, dating back to 1999. This was the first match-up between the teams since the 2011 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament in Millington, Tenn.
- Third-year head coach
Neil Groat won his 54th game, moving him into third place on the Warriors' career victory list.
- Judson and Ritz each recorded two hits in the game. It was the 10th multiple-hit game of the year for Ritz and the fifth for Judson.
- Mobley tied the program record with his seventh sacrifice bunt of the year.

- Six different batters recorded singles for the Tigers, with Hammel coming up with both RBI.
- Ten different batters struck out at least once.
