LAGRANGE, Georgia - The Hendrix College baseball team bounced back from a loss to Piedmont on Tuesday with a convincing 10-5 win over LaGrange College on Wednesday night in Georgia. 
Wyatt Hogan went 3-for-5 on the night, while 
Ryan Ritz, 
Thomas Weber, and 
Brady Newville each recorded a pair of hits. 
Matt Simmons went 1-for-2 with two runs, an RBI and a stolen base as well. 
Cannon Schrank earned the win on the mound, improving to 3-1 on the season with a four-inning outing, allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out three. 
Brian Commerford and 
Harley Faye each tossed a pair of scoreless innings in relief while 
Tim San Pablo and 
Grant Nunn combined to pitch an inning as well.
Hendrix jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first, with Ritz and 
Drew Judson each reaching base and coming around to score on RBI singles from Simmons and Hogan. The squad added three more runs in the second inning, capitalizing on a LaGrange error before getting RBI singles from Judson and Weber. 
In the fourth, the Warriors added another run to go ahead 6-0. Ritz led off with a walk, was bunted over by Judson and brought home by a Weber single. In the bottom of the fourth, the Panthers finally got on the board. The home team earned a leadoff double, and manufactured a run on a sacrifice fly two batters later, making it 6-1.
The Orange and Black scratched across three more runs in the top of the sixth without registering a hit in the frame. One hit batsman, a walk, and a pair of LaGrange errors allowed Simmons, Hogan, and 
Spencer Summers to come around to score, making it 9-1. 
LaGrange rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, making it 9-5. The Panthers could have done more damage, but 
Grant Nunn forced the first hitter he faced into a double play to end the inning. 
In the top of the eighth, the Warriors added one more run on an RBI single from Hogan, making it 10-5. Faye shut down the LaGrange bats the rest of the way as the Orange and Black won their seventh game of the past nine to move to 11-10 on the year.
Hendrix Notes- Hendrix recorded 12 hits, all singles. This marks the third time the team has recorded 10 or more hits, but no extra base hits. Hendrix is 3-0 in those games.

Wyatt Hogan earned his seventh career three-hit game. He is batting 5-for-8 (.625) in his last two games.

Seth Mobley set a new school record for sacrifice bunts in one season with eight. He is second in career sac bunts (20) to 
Matt Simmons (21).
- Faye has now tossed 7.2 innings of relief on the season without allowing an earned run.
- 
Cannon Schrank has made three starts on the year, and owns a 2-0 record as a starting pitcher.
- As a team, the Warriors boast a 3.36 ERA, and are on pace to set a new single-season record (3.81 - 2014).
LaGrange Notes- Cain Sauls and Chad Pigg each recorded two hits for the Panthers.
- Jake Fussell went 3.1 innings, allowing five earned runs on eight hits and five walks to take the loss.
- The Panthers are now 0-5 on the season against Southern Athletic Association opponents.
