JACKSON, Miss. - The Hendrix College baseball team dropped their third game of the weekend to Southern Athletic Association foe Millsaps College on Sunday afternoon in Jackson.
James Martin got his second start of the season at third base, going 2-for-4 from the plate with an RBI.
Ryan Ritz batted 2-for-4 with an RBI and swiped his sixth stolen base of the year.
Matt Simmons had a single, a stolen base, and a run scored.
Dan Imbro got the starting nod on the mound, tossing six innings while allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits and striking out four Majors.

Colten Poellinger, and
Cannon Schrank combined for two scoreless innings of relief.
Hendrix fell into an early 3-0 hole when the Majors turned four hits into three runs in the bottom of the third. Isaac Glenn provided the big swing for the Majors, ripping a two-run double to deep center field.
The Warriors clawed back into contention in the top of the sixth, scoring a pair of runs to cut into the deficit.
Wyatt Hogan and
Harley Faye started the inning with back-to-back singles.
Zane Heather bunted the runners over to set the plate for Martin who snuck a single up the middle to bring home Hogan. Ritz followed with a sacrifice fly to make the score 3-2.
Millsaps responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame to regain their three-run lead. The Warriors had three chances at mounting a comeback but were retired in order in the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings to take the 5-2 loss.
Hendrix Notes-
Ryan Ritz's two-hit performance improved his batting average to .415 through 11 games this season. He batted 5-for-10 (.500) in the series with Millsaps.
- For the second straight game, Hendrix was held without an extra-base hit.

Thomas Weber was held hitless for the first time this season, ending his 10-game hitting streak.
Millsaps Notes- Millsaps starter Greg Matthews went four innings without allowing a run. He scattered three hits and two walks while recording three strikeouts.
- Will Chenoweth recorded the save for the Majors, coming into the ninth to retire the Warriors in order.
- Mike Rohrer went 2-for-4 from the plate with an RBI triple, the only Major to have a multi-hit game.
Up NextHendrix moves to 4-7 on the season with a 1-5 mark in the SAA. The squad will host NCAA Division II affiliate Henderson State University on Tuesday, March 10 at 6 p.m.
