CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's tennis team were clipped by Southern Athletic Association leader Berry College 5-4 on Friday afternoon.
The Warriors (5-6, 0-3) took a 2-1 lead on the Vikings (8-1, 4-0), the 11th-ranked team in the Atlantic South Region, in doubles. Sophomores 
Julia Lefler and 
Lauren Mahaney topped Kaleigh Carpenter and Heidi Seabaugh 8-6 in the second flight and the third doubles team of senior 
Hannah Smashey and freshman 
Sarah Walker defeated Maggie Midkiff and Kat Pugh 9-7.
Lefller also won her number three singles match with Carpenter by the score of 6-3, 6-4. Smashey defeated Emmie Cornell 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-5) in number six singles for Hendrix' final point.
Hendrix will host another SAA rival on Saturday when Oglethorpe University comes to town.
