MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College women's soccer team won their third consecutive match and moved to 4-1 on the season with a 5-1 victory over Illinois College Sunday morning.
The Warriors picked up a 1-0 lead when junior
Sydney Meyer knocked in a rebound of
Samantha Lallas' free kick in he 24th minute. The Lady Blues (3-2) tied it up in the 36th minute on an Ashley Sholmire goal.
Meyer struck again in the 52nd minute after an assist by
Lucy Moore's free kick. Lallas added a goal of her own in the 62nd minute, then assisted freshman
Evie Cannon's goal in the 72nd minute to go up 4-1. Lallas scored her second goal of the game in the 84th minute to give Hendrix the 5-1 victory.
The Warriors outshot the Lady Blues 22-7 overall and 12-4 on goal. Hendrix also had a 14-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Hendrix Notes- Meyer's two goals were the first of her career.
- Lallas moved her season totals to seven goals and three assists.
- Moore recorded her team-leading fifth assist on the year.
- Cannon netted her third goal of the season.

Jordan Rausch had three saves in goal. She now has a 0.60 goals against average on the year.
Illinois College Notes- Sholmire took four shots on goal and had the Lady Blues' only score.
- Cat Solberg recorded seven saves.
