CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – Led by senior
Jerry Thomeczek's career high eight saves, the Hendrix College men's soccer team fought to a scoreless draw in double overtime against University of the Ozarks in their season opener Tuesday.
Thomeczek's previous career saves high was five in his only other start, against Centenary last year. His effort along with the defense allowed the Warriors to remain in the game despite being outshot 20-3.

Jacob Warren recorded Hendrix' only shot on goal.
Oscar Stjernquist and
Sebastian Paredes also recorded shots.
- Thomeczek became the 12th Warrior to record a shutout in program history.
Ozarks Notes- Travis Leach took five shots, three on goal for the Eagles.
- Matt Weaver added two shots on goal.
Up NextHendrix returns to the pitch on Saturday in Montgomery, Ala., against Huntingdon College with kickoff set for 3 p.m.
