GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Hendrix College women's soccer team came up with their fifth shutout of the season by defeating Southwestern University 1-0 on the road Friday afternoon.
The Warriors (6-2-1) scored the only goal of the game in the 15th minute when freshman forward
Evie Cannon crossed a pass to senior forward
Samantha Lallas who netted her eighth goal of the year.
The Warriors outshot the Pirates (3-5-1) 15-13 overall, but SU had a 5-4 advantage in shots on goal. Hendrix took five corner kicks, compared to four for Southwestern.
The game was delayed by lightning for nearly an hour in the first half.

Jordan Rausch had five saves in front of the net for Hendrix.
