SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Hendrix College field hockey team earned their second consecutive win with a 6-2 victory over Ferrum College on Saturday afternoon.
It was an all-around team performance for the Warriors (2-6) with four different people recording goals and four picking up assists.
Freshman
Madeline Neely scored the first goal of the game in the seventh minute on assist from sophomore
Elisabeth Kraaijenbrink.
After halftime, Hendrix picked up goals 31 seconds apart in the 38th minute. Junior
Raychl Reger scored on an assist from freshman
Holly Heeb, then Reger returned the favor with an assist on Heeb's goal. Heeb struck again in the 50th minute with help from
Morgan Fires.
The Panthers (1-7) found the cage in the 54th and 61st minutes on scores from Sierra Magdaleno and Alexandra Madden, respectively.
In the 66th minute, Kraaijenbrink scored on Fires' second assist of the day. Reger picked up her second goal with three minutes to play.
Hendrix dominated Ferrum with a 28-19 advantage in shots, but both teams took 14 shots on goal. The Warriors held a 12-7 lead in penalty corners.
Hendrix Notes- Fires took a career-high nine shots and tied the school record with two assists. She also recorded her second defensive save of the year.
- Neely's was the first of her career.
- Kraaijenbrink recorded the first assist of her career.
- Reger now has a team leading four goals on the season.
- Heeb moves to three goals and three assists on the year.

Gabryele Pochron recorded seven saves in 54 minutes.

Molly Records and
Alexis Truitt made their collegiate debuts in goal. Records came up with three saves and Truitt stopped one shot.
Ferrum Notes- Magdaleno took eight shots, six on goal for the Panthers.

- Ferrum, along with Bethany College, will join Hendrix in the Southern Athletic Association next season.
