ELMHURST, Ill. – Coming off a win earlier in the day against North Park University, Hendrix College volleyball, who was third in receiving votes in the preseason AVCA Top 25 poll, faced their first ranked opponent of the season in #24 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

The Warriors (4-2) could not figure out the #24 Warhawks' (4-0) attack, falling in three sets 25-15, 25-15 and 25-12. 

Junior MC Rogers, sophomore Bradi Ryan and freshman Brianna Kelly all had four kills to lead the team. Freshman Amber Melcher posted a team-high nine assists and junior Leila Matsumoto finished with double-digits in digs with 10.

Hendrix finished with 18 kills, three aces, 30 digs and no blocks while hitting -.057.  UW-Whitewater hit .277 with 35 kills, eight aces, 36 digs and three blocks.

Hendrix Notes
- Senior Felicia Beeman finished with three digs in the match, which gives her 990 career digs.
- Matsumoto had double-digits in digs for the third time this season.
- Junior right side Natalie Masten and junior middle Samantha Stockdale each added two kills.

UW-Whitewater Notes
- Lauren Pfeifer posted nine kills  and hit .333 for the Warhawks.
- Staci Hasler led the way with 25 assists.
- Brittany Robinson was the only Warhawk in double-digits in digs with 10.
