Jacob Pierce scored a pair of goal with under four minutes left in regulation to give the Hendrix College men's soccer team a 2-1 victory over LaGrange College Sunday afternoon.
The Panthers (0-3) scored the first goal of the game in the 33rd minute when Brandon Burrell found the net on an assist from Connor Liney. The contest remained 1-0 until Stanowski scored his first goal of the season with 3:38 left to play. With 2:01 on the clock, Pierce connected on a free kick that went off the back post and into the goal for the game-winner.
Hendrix (1-1-1) outshot LaGrange 16-10 and had a 9-4 advantage on goal. Both teams took three corner kicks.
Hendrix Notes- The goal was the 14th of Pierce's career, who moves into fifth place on the Warriors' career list. It was also the fourth game-winner for the Fulton, Mo. product.

Nathan Myers made three saves in his first contest of the year.
LaGrange Notes- Burrell took three shots, two on goal, and Daniel Provence missed three attempts.
