DANVILLE, Ky. - The Hendrix College women's basketball team lost to Centre College 76-75 in triple overtime in Southern Athletic Association action Sunday.
The Warriors (11-3, 2-1) scored the first basket of the game, but the Colonels (4-10, 2-1) lead for the rest of the first half and took a 22-18 lead into the break. The home team maintained their lead until the 4:05 mark of the fourth quarter when the Orange & Black tied it up at 43-43. Down 47-45, Hendrix sophomore forward
Heather Prowse hit a lay-up with 1.5 seconds left to force overtime.
Warrior sophomore center
Sara Dyslin hit a pair of free throw with 17.1 seconds left in the first overtime to tie the game up at 55-55. Paige Kellam's jumper at the buzzer was short, forcing a second extra period. Hendrix led 63-58with 1:26 left in the second overtime, but a basket by Day Vance and a three-point play from Alexis Guy tied it up at 63 each with 29 seconds left. Dyslin converted a three-point lead with 1.4 seconds remaining to take a 66-63 lead, but Kellam hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to take the contest to a third overtime.
A jump shot by senior point guard
Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler gave the Warriors a 75-74 lead with 23.3 seconds left. Kellam hit the game-winning bucket with nine seconds left. Hendrix missed two shots on the final possession of the game.
For the game, Hendrix shot 39.1 percent (23-of-65) from the field, 4-of-11 from three-point range and 25-of-30 at the line. Centre shot 40.9 percent (24-of-76) overall, 4-of-15 from outside and 24-of-30 at free throw line. The Colonels held a 49-46 rebound advantage.
Hendrix Notes- It was the first triple overtime game in program history for the Warriors.
- Dyslin finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for her fourth double-double of the season. She went 10-of-11 at the free throw line.
- Kriesel-Bigler had 14 points and three assists.

Anna King scored 12 points and grabbed six boards off the bench.
- Prowse scored seven points with six rebounds.
- Sophomore guard
Leah Smith added six points off the bench.
- Sophomore center
Madison Martin pulled down nine rebounds, a career-high.
Centre Notes- Alexis Guy led all scorers with 30 points to go with nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. She was 14-of-17 at the stripe.
- Kellam finished with 19 points, six rebounds and three assists.
- Abigail Stewart recorded six points, nine boards, five blocks and two steals.
- Kaitlyn McKnight scored seven points with a trio of steals.
- Day Vance had five points and nine rebounds off the bench.
Up NextHendrix will take on Rhodes College in league play in Memphis, Tenn. Saturday.
