MEMPHIS, Tenn. - For the second time this season, the Hendrix College women's basketball team defeated Rhodes College by a score of 51-38 at Mallory Gymnasium Saturday afternoon in Southern Athletic Association play.
The host Lynx (7-8, 1-3) led 5-3 early in the first quarter, but the Warriors (12-3, 3-1) went on an 11-0 run to gain a 14-5 lead with 3:21 left in the opening period. Hendrix would maintain the lead throughout the rest of the contest, including a 28-18 advantage at halftime.
Rhodes would cut the deficit to six points late in the third quarter, but the Orange & Black led by double digits for the final eight minutes of the game.
For the game, Hendrix shot 36.7 percent (18-of-49), 5-of-16 from beyond the arc and 10-of-16 at the free throw line. Rhodes shot 24.6 percent (14-of-57) from the field, 3-of-17 from outside and 7-of-8 at the line. The Warriors held a huge 44-31 rebound advantage.
Hendrix Notes- It was the first season sweep of Rhodes since the 2003-04 season.
- Senior point guard
Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler, who leads the SAA in scoring, netted 16 points and dished out three assists. She hit a trio of three-pointers.
- Sophomore center
Sara Dyslin recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 boards. She also had a season-high four blocked shots.
- Sophomore forward
Heather Prowse grabbed eight rebounds and senior forward
Katy Gallien pulled down four.

Anna King each scored six points. King also recorded four rebounds and two assists.
Rhodes Notes- Symone Daniels led the Lynx with 10 points, four steals and two blocks to go with six rebounds.
- Bailey Kramer had eight points and 10 boards.
- Blaire Smith dished out four assists.
