CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's basketball outscored Berry College 23-7 in the fourth quarter en route to an 83-63 Southern Athletic Association victory at Grove Gymnasium Friday night.
With the win, the Warriors improve to 13-3 overall and 4-1 in the SAA. Hendrix is off to their best start in conference play since the league formed in 2012. The Vikings fall to 7-9 and 1-4.
Hendrix held 44-33 lead at halftime, but Berry used a hot-shooting third quarter to cut the deficit to 60-56 going into the final period. The Orange & Black shot 50 percent in the fourth quarter and pulled away from the Vikings.
The Warriors, who received four votes in this week's USA Today Coaches Poll, shot 40.3 (29-of-72) percent from the field, 8-of-26 from three-point range and 17-of-21 at the line. They also only committed eight turnovers, compared to 17 for the Vikings, which led to 25 points for the Warriors, 18 of which came on a fast break. Berry shot 42.9 percent (24-of-56) overall, 1-of-15 from outside and 14-of-19 at the free throw line. The Warriors had a 44-34 rebounding edge.
Hendrix Notes- Senior point guard
Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler buried five shots from behind the arc and finished with 22 points, five rebounds and three assists.
- Sophomore center Sara Dylsin recorded her sixth double-double of the year with 21 points and 10 rebounds. She also had two steals and a block and went 9-of-11 at the charity stripe.
- Junior forward
Anna King came off the bench to contribute 11 points and eight boards.
- Sophomore forward
Heather Prowse came up with eight points, five boards and three steals.

Katy Gallien had six points, five assists and four rebounds
Berry Notes- Forward Emma Cook paced the Vikings with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting.
- Center Megan Casey had 12 points and nine rebounds.
- Imani Smith added nine points, five rebounds and four assists.
Up NextHendrix will host Oglethorpe University in another SAA tilt on Sunday at noon.
