CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's basketball team lost to Oglethorpe University 71-61 in Southern Athletic Association competition at Grove Gymnasium Sunday afternoon.
The Warriors (1-16, 0-6) led 17-14 with 10:05 left in the first half, but the Stormy Petrels (8-9, 3-3) went on a 26-7 run over the next eight minutes to take a 40-27 lead. OU led 43-30 at the break. The Petrels maintained at least a seven point lead throughout the second half.
For the game, Hendrix shot 38.2 percent (21-of-55), 4-of-23 from three-point range and 15-of-21 at the free throw line. Oglethorpe shot 53.3 percent (24-of-45), 10-of-21 from beyond the arc and 13-of-19 at the charity stripe. The Warriors had a 32-31 rebounding edge, including 12-4 on the offensive glass.

John Ogle led the Warriors with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Gearen Littlefield tied his career-high with 12 points and pulled down eight boards.

Drew Nikolovski added nine points and three steals.

Bryce Parker contributed eight points off the bench.
Oglethorpe Notes- George Andino led OU with 19 points, 17 of which came in the first half. He hit five three-pointers in the opening period.
- Chase Wardlaw scored 17 points to go with six assists, five rebounds and three assists.
- Forward Will Perry had 12 points and five boards.
- Center Tom Inungu scored 10 points and blocked two shots.
