ATLANTA - The Hendrix College volleyball completed their second sweep of the day by defeating Texas Lutheran University 25-23, 25-11, 25-18 in Atlanta.
The 25th-ranked Warriors (17-5) hit a blistering .480 in the second set while limiting the Bulldogs (9-10) to .028 en route to a 25-11 win.
For the match, Hendrix hit .244 with 46 kills, six aces, 72 digs and 10 blocks. TLU hit .049 with 23 kills, three aces, 46 digs and three blocks.
Hendrix Notes
- Senior outside hitter
MC Rogers recorded a season-best .444 with 13 kills, three aces and 12 digs. It was her fifth double-double of the season.
- Junior middle blocker
Sara Dyslin hit .643 with 10 kills and a pair of blocks.
- Sophomore
Brianna Kelly recorded season-highs of nine kills and six digs.
- Senior setter
Allison Gaia posted her eight double-double with 21 assists and 11 digs.
- Sophomore
Amber Melcher added 18 assists and seven digs.
- Senior
Leila Matsumoto tallied 26 digs.
- Senior middle
Samantha Stockdale led the defense with three blocks.
Texas Lutheran Notes
- Mackenzie Zamarripa and Makenzie Griffin each had five kills.
- Jaci Cahmbers tallied 20 assists.
