ATLANTA - The 25th-ranked Hendrix College volleyball team moved to 10-1 in Southern Athletic Association play with a 25-14, 25-18, 25-19 victory at Oglethorpe University Friday afternoon.
The Warriors (16-5) easily won the match by hitting .266 with 45 kills, six aces, 55 digs and seven blocks. The Stormy Petrels (8-14, 2-9) hit .020 with 21 kills, two aces, 41 digs and three blocks.
Hendrix Notes
- Senior outside hitter
MC Rogers hit a season-best .385 with 13 kills to go with seven digs and three blocks.
- Junior middle blocker
Sara Dyslin hit .421 with 11 kills and three blocks.
- Junior right side
Bradi Ryan also hit a season-best .438 with seven kills and did not commit an error.
- Freshman outside
Lauren Dwyer recorded eight kills and six digs.
- Senior setter
Allison Gaia registered her seventh double-double of the year with 19 assists and 11 digs.
- Sophomore setter
Amber Melcher tallied 14 assists.
- Senior libero
Leila Matsumoto came up with 18 digs, two aces and seven assists.
Oglethorpe Notes
- Ashlee Tolbert led the Stormy Petrels with seven kills, two blocks and hit .316.
- Jordan Jones recorded 15 assists and five digs.
- Brianna Hernandez had eight digs.
