CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's soccer team nearly pulled off an upset of #21 Centre College, losing on a late goal 1-0 in Southern Athletic Association action Friday night.
The game between the Warriors (10-5, 2-3) and the Colonels (13-1-2, 5-0) was scoreless until Meghan Paynter scored after a deflection on a corner kick with 4:37 left in the game.
Hendrix held the top scoring team in the league to just 22 shots, nine on goal. The Orange & Black had 11 shots, six on goal. Centre led in corner kicks 10-2.
