RICHARDSON, Texas - The 24th-ranked Hendrix College volleyball lost their second match of the day to a top five team, losing 25-23, 25-16, 25-19 to #4 University of Texas at Dallas on Saturday.
After a fairly close set in the first, the Comets (26-1) controlled the final two frames over the Warriors (21-7).
Hendrix hit .210 for the match with 41 kills, one ace, 72 digs and one block. UTD hit .235 with 44 kills, four aces, 60 digs and two blocks.
Hendrix Notes
- Junior middle blocker
Sara Dyslin recorded 123 kills and hit .308.
- Senior outside hitter
MC Rogers had 12 kills and 11 digs for a double-double.
- Senior middle
Victoria Amadi hit .300 with a career-high seven kills and a solo block.
- Senior setter
Allison Gaia recorded 21 assists and 12 digs.
- Sophomore libero tallied 17 digs.
UT Dallas Notes
- Abbie Barth led the Comets by hitting .351 with 15 kills, two aces and 10 digs.
- Dylan Brinkman had 12 kills and 14 digs.
- Caroline Shecterle had 20 assists and 10 digs.
