CONWAY, Ark. - The 20th-ranked Hendrix College volleyball team swept Birmingham-Southern College 25-23, 34-32, 25-18 to remain atop of the Southern Athletic Association standings Sunday at Grove Gymnasium.
The Warriors (14-5, 9-1) 21-17 in the first set to the Panthers (14-4, 7-2) before winning eight of the last 10 points to take the game 25-23. Hendrix led 20-11 in the second, but BSC came back to make the game 23-23. From there, the teams exchanged 10 ties and six lead changes with Hendrix finally pulling out a the 34-32 victory. The Orange & Black had little trouble in the third set to secure the match.
For the match, Hendrix hit .205 with 48 kills, five aces, 84 digs and 13 blocks. BSC hit .089 with 37 kills, nine aces, 76 digs and six blocks.
Hendrix Notes
- The second set was the longest for the Warriors since 2007, the last year of the 30-point set scoring system.

MC Rogers recorded 12 kills, 13 digs and four blocks.

Lauren Dwyer had 10 kills, three aces and a season-high 24 digs for her fourth double-double of the year.

Lauren Petrisin had eight kills and four blocks.

Sara Dyslin added nine kills and tied her season-best with seven blocks.

Allison Gaia tallied 24 assists. Sophomore
Amber Melcher added 21 assists and 10 digs.

Samantha Stockdale came up with five blocks.

Leila Matsumoto had 19 digs.
Birmingham-Southern Notes
- Jeneva Salter led the Panthers with 12 kills.
- Rachel Lee had 33 assists and 12 digs.
- Caroline Johnson paced the back row with 20 digs.
