Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Hendrix Ties Wins Record, Blanks OU 3-0

ATLANTA - The Hendrix College women's soccer team picked up their 10th win of the season with a 3-0 victory at Southern Athletic Association foe Oglethorpe University Sunday afternoon.

With the win, the Warriors (10-4, 2-2) tie the program record for victories with the 2009 and 2015 squads. 

Hendrix scored just 6:23 into the game on a breakaway pass from sophomore Evie Cannon to Hagan Griffith, who found the net for the 10th time this season. 

Sophomore Sydney Blevins scored in the 58th minute on an assist from sophomore Amanda Hamilton. Griffith scored again in the 62nd minute.

The Warriors outshot the Stormy Petrels (1-8, 0-4) 27-6 overall and 9-3 on goal. Hendrix led in corner kicks 9-2.

The Hendrix backs of Symone Bennett, Ashley Baker, Maddie Mae Seyer and Hamilton along with Kim Castro, Mary Rose Siebenmorgen, Caroline Hochstein and Melissa Miller contributed to the team's seventh shutout of the year. 
 
Hendrix Notes
- Griffith leads the team with 11 goals on the year.
- Cannon and Hamilton each have three assists this season.
- Blevins' goal was her fourth of the year.
- Junior keeper Jordan Rausch tallied two saves in 69 minutes. Freshman Leah Crenshaw came up with one save.

Oglethorpe Notes
- Laura Bacque took two shots on goal.
- Beatrice Menjor added another shot on goal.
- Tabitha Floyd came up with six saves.

Hendrix will return home to take on Centre College in a conference game Friday night.
