RICHARDSON, Texas - The Hendrix College women's basketball team easily defeated Milwaukee School of Engineering 63-45 in the first game of the UTD Classic Friday.
The Warriors (5-4) led 13-9 after the first quarter before expanding their lead to 32-19 at halftime. Hendrix shot 52.4 percent (11-of-21) in the second half and led by as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter.
For the game, Hendrix shot 42.3 percent (22-of-52) from the field, 2-of-10 from three-point range and 17-of-22 at the line. They also had 38 rebounds, 11 assists, 18 turnovers, one block and 13 steals.
The Raiders (6-3) shot 34 percent (17-of-50) overall, 3-of-17 from outside and 8-of-12 at the line with 31 boards, 11 assists, 22 turnovers, two blocks and nine steals.

- Junior center
Sara Dyslin recorded her fifth double-double of the year with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
- Playing in her first game of the season, junior guard
Leah Smith came off the bench to score a career-high 13 points and dish out two assists.
- Junior forward
Heather Prowse also scored 13 points with a block and four steals.
- Senior guard
Hailey Bode recorded eight points, three rebounds, four assists and three steals.
- Junior center Madison martin added four points, seven boards and two steals.

- Holly Denfeld led the Raiders with 10 points and five assists.
- Lizzy Hilby scored eight points.
- Brooke Scott had eight points and six rebounds.
