Warriors Lose to Bulldogs at Classic

CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's basketball team lost to Texas Lutheran 52-44 on the final day of the Cliff Garrison Classic at home on Sunday. 

The visiting Bulldogs (5-2) led 17-7 after the first quarter and 27-19 at halftime. The Warriors (4-4) cut the lead to 48-44 with 32 seconds left, but TLU converted a three-point play and made another free throw in the final ticks of the clock to seal the win. 

For the game, Hendrix shot 30.4 percent (17-of-56) overall, 6-of-30 from outside and 4-of-7 at the free throw line with 39 rebounds, 16 assists, 22 turnovers, three blocks and six steals. TLU shot 37.7 percent (20-of-53) from the floor, 3-of-13 from three-point range and 9-of-19 at the stripe with 40 rebounds, 14 assists, 18 turnovers, five blocks and 15 steals.

Hendrix Notes
- Junior Sara Dyslin recorded her fourth double-double of the year with 13 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks.
- Freshman guard Jordan Tibbits made a trio of three-pointers for a season-high nine points. She also had five assists and three steals.
- Sophomore guard Leah Boehl scored six points with four boards and five assists.
- Junior center Mdison Martin came down with eight rebounds and a block.
- Junior forward Heather Prowse had three steals

Texas Lutheran Notes
- Savannah Hight led the Bulldogs with 14 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks and four steals.
- Kristen Lye scored 12 points with nine boards and three assists.
- Cierra Jordan added 10 points, eight rebounds and two steals

Up Next
Hendrix will be off until Dec. 18 when they play Dallas in Irving, Texas.
