GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - The Hendrix College baseball team lost their second game of the Rusty Greer Collegiate Classic 4-0 to Hardin-Simmons University at Air Hogs Stadium on Saturday night.
Cowboy pitcher Colton Spears threw a three-hit shutout, fanning three batters and allowing a walk. Warrior senior starter
Daniel Imbro allowed 10 hits, four runs and a walk while striking out four over six innings in the losing effort. Freshman
Taylor Barker struck out two and allowed a hit in two scoreless innings for Hendrix (0-2).
HSU (2-0) broke open a scoreless game in the fourth on a two-run homer by right fielder Cody Berryman. They added two more runs in the sixth inning on a double from catcher Elijah Perez and a ground-out RBI off the bat of Tanner Hollinger.
Hendrix Notes- Sophomore first baseman
Jake Wiegand extended his hitting streak to three games, dating back to last year, with a single. He also drew a walk.

JR McAuley and freshman second baseman
Jorge Leon both recorded base hits.
Hardin-Simmons Notes- Berryman, Perez, Jamie Ball and Anthony Beasley all recorded two hits for the Cowboys.
- Berryman and Ball also stole a base.
